Originally from Brandon, Mississippi, James a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville where he earned a degree in professional accountancy. He earned his J. D. degree from Mississippi College of Law in Jackson and, following his marriage to Nina Markette Baker, moved to LaGrange in 1998. Jim was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1998 and practiced in the area of Probate and Real Estate law for two years until joining the firm in 2000 where he focuses primarily on bankruptcy, wills, probate and administration of estates. He and his wife attend St. Markís Episcopal Church.
