Robert Whatley
Robert B. Whatley is a native of LaGrange and a graduate of LaGrange College. He completed his legal education at Atlanta Law School and received his J.D. degree in 1981. He has been practicing law in Troup County since 1981. He is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Georgia as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Whatley served as the solicitor of State Court of Troup County, Georgia from 1985 through 1988 and presently serves as Magistrate for Troup County and Municipal Court Judge for the city courts of LaGrange, Grantville and Hogansville. He is a member and past president of the LaGrange Kiwanis Club, past president and secretary-treasurer of the Troup County Bar Association, a former member of the of board of directors of the American Red Cross. A member of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Troup County Bar Association, and President of the Municipal Court Judges Council of Georgia. Mr. Whatley is married and has four children and one grandchild.
